HOLLOW MEN

6 minutes | 2015

Director: Miki Polonsky | DOP: Ilya Marcus | Producer: Independent

A co-project of the Goethe institut with Israeli and German directors and writers. We collaborated with writer Etgar Keret to create a visual reflection of his work “The Hollow Man”, about the Holocaust.

A building stands on southern soil, among the voices of people a family is hiding.

The father is trapped inside his fears, trying to keep his son close to him.

The mother is taking her last breaths in front of a flickering screen.

They spend their time between the walls, waiting for silence to come.
